I’m Bruce Wampler, and have been licensed since 1966 as WA7EWC. Originally from Wyoming (where I learned what it was to be the cause of pileups), I now live in Western Colorado.

My station is an Icom IC-7300 and a Hustler 6BTV vertical.

My station computer is an HP 8300 Elite Small Form Factor Desktop Computer (Intel Core i5-3570 3.4GHz Quad-Core, 8GB RAM, 2TB SATA,Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit) as described in this article.

I recently became active again after a few years off to raise my family.

I am also a Digital Pioneer. I’ve been developing software for PCs and the web since the 1970s. This includes developing the very first spelling checker for PCs, as well as the very first true grammar checker, Grammatik. I also taught Computer Science at the University of New Mexico from 1981 until 1996.

My current software project is Weaver Xtreme, a very popular theme for self-hosted WordPress.org websites.
